10th International Conference on Practice Teaching and Field Education in Health and Social Work

Glasgow, April 7th – 8th 2014

Connection

Creating connections, repairing disconnections and building relationships in practice learning and field education

Call for papers and workshop proposals

This conference is an opportunity for researchers, teachers and practitioners from all health and social care professions in the UK and from overseas, who are involved in developing and delivering practice based learning to share and exchange ideas, experiences and research findings.

It is also an opportunity to bring together those who employ, support and work with practice educators, as well as those who benefit from their expertise – health and care service users.

Conference Themes

We will focus on areas that need new connections,
and those where there are now gaps between

  • Theory and practice

  • Learning in practice and learning for practice

  • Student practice and qualified practitioner practice

  • Uniprofessional and interprofessional working

  • Emerging professions and traditional professions

  • The cultures of professions, organisations, and
    client groups
    (including internal differences)

We seek proposals (maximum 250 words) from those wishing to present a workshop or paper

Proposals should be sent by email to the Conference Administrator at [email protected].
